New Delhi: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has written to Prime Minister Narendra Modi seeking a meeting to discuss the ongoing E20 petrol controversy and concerns raised by consumers regarding ethanol-blended fuel.

In his letter, Kejriwal said he wants to explain the technical issues linked to E20 petrol and share public feedback collected during his interactions with citizens. He urged the Centre to address concerns related to fuel options, pricing, and mileage.

Kejriwal Seeks Choice Between Pure Petrol and E20 Fuel

Kejriwal said petrol stations should provide consumers with the option to choose between regular petrol and E20 petrol. He stated that people who want pure petrol should have access to it, while those preferring ethanol-blended fuel should also be given that choice.

The AAP chief said the government should consider consumer preferences while implementing fuel policies.

AAP Raises Mileage and Pricing Concerns

The E20 petrol controversy has gained attention after Kejriwal raised concerns about the impact of ethanol-blended fuel on vehicle mileage and consumer expenses.

He demanded a reduction in the price of E20 petrol, arguing that lower mileage compared to regular petrol should be taken into account while deciding fuel rates.

Kejriwal said consumers should not face additional financial burden due to changes in fuel composition.

Online Petition Launched Over E20 Petrol Issues

The Aam Aadmi Party has launched an online petition to collect public opinions and experiences related to E20 petrol. The party is seeking feedback from citizens, especially regarding mileage, vehicle performance, and other concerns.

AAP Workers Asked to Gather Public Feedback

The party has also asked its workers and supporters to visit petrol pumps and service centres, interact with consumers, and share their experiences through social media platforms.

According to AAP, the campaign aims to highlight public concerns and bring attention to the issues surrounding the E20 petrol controversy.

Kejriwal Appeals for Discussion with PM Modi

Kejriwal expressed hope that Prime Minister Modi would provide an appointment soon to discuss the matter. He said a dialogue with the government could help address concerns related to fuel policies and consumer choices.

The E20 petrol controversy has sparked discussions around ethanol blending, fuel efficiency, pricing, and the impact of alternative fuels on vehicle owners across India.
