by Tamanna

Delhi – The Delhi budget has come under scrutiny as Saurabh Bhardwaj revealed major discrepancies in the BJP-led Rekha Gupta government’s financial claims. For the first time, the BJP government has reportedly burdened Delhi with nearly ₹20,000 crore in debt, while the much-publicized ₹1 lakh crore budget has only yielded ₹68,700 crore in actual revenue.

“This is the truth behind the so-called ₹1 lakh crore Delhi budget. The BJP exaggerated the figures, but the actual resources collected are far lower, leaving the city with mounting debt,” Bhardwaj said.

Critics argue that this gap in the Delhi budget highlights poor fiscal management by the BJP, affecting essential public services and welfare programs. Citizens are increasingly questioning how such a large budget could result in insufficient funds for critical infrastructure and social schemes.
