New Delhi [India] – The Delhi BJP Budget Controversy has come to light as AAP leaders claim that the Delhi government has plunged the capital into debt despite limited progress over the past year. During a press conference, Delhi AAP State Convenor Saurabh Bhardwaj revealed that the BJP administration secretly requested a ₹1,000 crore loan from the Reserve Bank of India to meet financial needs.

BJP’s Budget Claims Under Question

Just a year ago, the BJP had presented a budget of ₹1 lakh crore, promising significant development projects for Delhi. However, according to AAP, very little has been accomplished, raising concerns over fiscal mismanagement and lack of transparency.

“This is the first time the Delhi government has had to borrow from the open market. Despite failing to implement major initiatives, they have put Delhi’s finances at risk,” Bhardwaj said.

AAP Demands Transparency

The Delhi BJP Budget Controversy underscores the need for clear reporting and accountability in the government’s financial plans. AAP leaders emphasized that citizens have the right to know how borrowed funds will be utilized and warned that indiscriminate borrowing could affect public welfare programs.
