Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) national convenor Arvind Kejriwal has strongly defended students who participated in demonstrations against exam irregularities, stating that those involved in the paper leak protest are being unfairly targeted and labelled.

Arvind Kejriwal said that students from different states who came to Jantar Mantar in Delhi to raise their voice against examination paper leaks are being wrongly portrayed. He emphasized that the paper leak protest was a peaceful democratic expression of concern over repeated exam irregularities.
He added that instead of addressing the issue, students involved in the protest are being accused of actions that damage their image and future prospects.
Allegations of defamation of protesting students
Kejriwal alleged that there is an ongoing attempt to weaken the protest by branding participating students as “anti-national.” He said such claims are deeply unfair and divert attention from the core issue of repeated examination leaks.

Reaction to political statements on student protests
Reacting to remarks made by Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Kejriwal questioned the narrative being built around the protesters. He said it was wrong to associate peaceful students with anti-national sentiments and called such statements an attempt to suppress dissent.
He reiterated that the protest should be seen as a democratic demand for accountability rather than a political issue.

The Aam Aadmi Party has repeatedly raised concerns over recurring paper leak incidents in major examinations, including NEET and other competitive tests. Kejriwal said that the paper leak protest highlights a larger systemic failure that needs urgent reform.
He claimed that instead of addressing the root cause, efforts are being made to divert attention by targeting students involved in the paper leak protest.
