AAP leader Anurag Dhanda has raised serious concerns over what he described as the alleged targeting of migrant workers in various incidents in Delhi. He questioned whether individuals from Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand are being unfairly singled out in accountability cases.
Referring to multiple incidents, he claimed that migrant workers are being made scapegoats instead of fixing responsibility on concerned authorities.
Allegations of Unequal Treatment in Recent Incidents
Dhanda cited several cases, including the Pandav Kumar incident, where he alleged that the victim was identified by regional identity before being killed. He also referred to a Janakpuri accident in which a biker died after falling into a pothole, claiming that instead of holding officials or contractors accountable, a poor worker from Uttar Pradesh was arrested.
He further pointed to the Malviya Nagar fire incident, stating that instead of action against municipal or fire department officials, a cook from Uttarakhand was allegedly blamed and arrested.

Demand for Fair Investigation and Equal Justice
The AAP leader questioned whether working or living in Delhi for people from states like Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Uttarakhand has become a disadvantage under the current system. He called for impartial investigations in all cases to ensure that responsibility is fixed on the actual authorities involved.

He emphasized that justice should not depend on regional identity and insisted on fair and transparent inquiries in all such incidents.
Call for Accountability in Governance
Dhanda urged authorities to ensure that accountability is not shifted onto vulnerable individuals and that systemic failures are properly investigated. He reiterated that justice must be based on facts and evidence rather than selective blame, and called for reforms to ensure equal treatment for all residents of Delhi.
