A political controversy has erupted in the national capital after Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders staged a sit-in outside the office of the Lieutenant Governor, alleging that they were not granted a meeting despite waiting for hours to discuss a serious law and order matter.
AAP state president Saurabh Bhardwaj raised concerns over Delhi’s law and order situation and questioned why the delegation was not being allowed to meet LG Sahib. He said the party had been waiting for nearly three hours outside the office to brief the Lieutenant Governor on what they described as a highly sensitive case.
The issue pertains to allegations from West Delhi’s Janakpuri, where a three-year-old girl was reportedly sexually assaulted inside a private school. According to Bhardwaj, the victim’s mother has alleged that local police officials, including the SHO and DCP, are pressuring the family to suppress the case.
AAP’s Demand for Justice and Direct Meeting with LG Sahib
In his statement, Bhardwaj said that the primary demand of the delegation is justice for the victim and accountability in the handling of the case. He questioned why urgent action is not being taken and reiterated that they are seeking a direct meeting with LG Sahib to present the matter.

AAP leaders also alleged that the refusal to meet raises serious concerns about the functioning of the administration amid what they describe as a deteriorating law and order situation in Delhi. They insisted that immediate intervention is necessary, especially when allegations involve crimes against children and alleged police misconduct.
The delegation further demanded that strict action be taken if any police officials are found attempting to influence or pressure the victim’s family. They maintained that their sit-in outside the LG office will continue until they are granted a meeting.
Meanwhile, the office of Vinai Kumar Saxena has not issued any official response regarding the allegations or the request for a meeting. The matter continues to draw political attention as both sides remain firm on their positions.
