Bihar elections: At Vigyan Bhawan in New Delhi, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will introduce a number of youth-focused projects valued at over Rs 62,000 crore, providing a significant boost to business, education, and skill development nationwide. Launch of the Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme

The Prime Minister will also introduce the updated Bihar Student Credit Card Scheme, which would greatly reduce the cost of higher education by offering interest-free education loans up to Rs 4 lakh. Under the program, more than 3.92 lakh students have already taken out loans totaling more than Rs 7,880 crore.

Bihar Yuva Ayog Will Be Introduced

The Prime Minister will formally launch Bihar Yuva Ayog, a statutory commission for individuals between the ages of 18 and 45, to further improve youth empowerment in the state and channel and harness the energy of the state’s youthful population.

The opening of Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University is scheduled.

The prime minister will also officially open the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University in Bihar, which aims to produce a workforce that is competitive worldwide by offering industry-focused courses and practical training.

PM Modi will lay the cornerstone for four universities’ research facilities.

Under the PM-USHA (Pradhan Mantri Uchchatar Shiksha Abhiyan), the Prime Minister will lay the groundwork for new academic and research facilities at four Bihar universities: Patna University, Bhupendra Narayan Mandal University in Madhepura, Jai Prakash Vishwavidyalaya in Chapra, and Nalanda Open University in Patna. This is in line with the National Education Policy 2020, which aims to improve access to higher education. With a combined budget of Rs. 160 crore, these initiatives would help over 27,000 students by providing multidisciplinary education, modern academic facilities, cutting-edge labs, and dormitories.

The opening of NIT Patna’s Bihta campus

He will dedicate the NIT Patna campus at Bihta to the country. Featuring cutting-edge facilities such as a 5G use case lab, a Regional Academic Centre for Space created in partnership with ISRO, and an Innovation and Incubation Centre that has already assisted nine start-ups, the campus can accommodate 6,500 students.

In addition, the Prime Minister would issue employment letters to over 4,000 recently hired employees of the Bihar government and disburse Rs. 450 crore in scholarships to 25 lakh Class 9 and 10 students under the Mukhyamantri Balak/Balika Scholarship Scheme via Direct Benefit Transfer.
