Patna’s Gandhi Maidan readies for the new government’s swearing-in; massive security, zone-wise crowd control, and VVIP arrangements underway ahead of the Nov 20 ceremony.
Patna: The capital’s Gandhi Maidan saw heightened preparations for the state’s new government’s swearing-in event. A delegation from the district administration, police department, municipal corporation, and other organizations arrived on Monday and assessed the state of the preparations.
To ensure seamless crowd control and security procedures, the entire field is separated into several zones in accordance with the program. During the swearing-in event, 25 Bihar Administrative Service officials have been assigned by the General Administration Department, with five of them serving as special guests.
The main stage at Gandhi Maidan will be built in accordance with VVIP safety regulations. There are already plans to barricade the area, create specific guest paths, set aside a space for the media, and provide visitor seating. It has been left to several agencies to handle the lighting, sound system, and pandal.
Officials from a number of agencies spent the entire day on Monday at Gandhi Maidan. The officials were inspected and given the appropriate instructions by Divisional Commissioner Animesh Kumar Parashar, Range IG Jitendra Rana, and District Magistrate Dr. Thyagarajan SM in the afternoon.
Pandal construction was completed on Monday.
Teams from the Municipal Corporation conducted a cleanup campaign on the ground. Fire safety equipment, transportable restrooms, and drinking water stalls are among the public amenities that are guaranteed.
The administration claims that all agencies are coordinating to plan a big, secure, and well-organized swearing-in celebration. Political party officials, dignitaries from a variety of industries, and a sizable crowd are expected to attend the event.
After a decade, the swearing-in event will be held in Gandhi Maidan.
Gandhi Maidan will host the swearing-in ceremony for the new administration 10 years later. Earlier in 2015, chief ministers from numerous states attended the swearing-in ceremony, which took place at Gandhi Maidan.
