Bihar govt Sets Aside Rs 341 Cr for New Fire Stations, Drones, and Rescue Vehicles, Creating 2,075 New Jobs

Bihar govt approves Rs 341 crore for 28 new fire stations, upgrades, and advanced equipment including drones, robots, and rescue vehicles to boost firefighting capabilities.

To build 28 new fire stations and upgrade the state’s current ones, especially in Patna, the Bihar govt has approved Rs 341 crore. Through the creation of 2,075 new stations and the acquisition of contemporary technology like robots and drones, the project seeks to increase firefighting capability.

A total of Rs 341 crore has been approved by the Bihar government to open 28 new fire stations around the state. A total of Rs 84.31 crore has already been made available. Additionally, the money will be utilized to buy new firefighting equipment and upgrade current fire stations.

The Home Department said that new fire stations will be built in Patna’s Barh, Fatuha, Masaurhi, Sipara, Phulwarisharif, and Danapur. They will also establish one station each in Begusarai, Bhagalpur, Saharsa, Supaul, Muzaffarpur, Khagaria, Gaya, Madhubani, Buxar, Purnia, Bhojpur, Vaishali, and Rohtas. The anticipated cost of each fire station is approximately Rs 3.65 crore.

Additionally, the department has announced the purchase of advanced firefighting equipment, including a 32-meter turntable ladder for Rs 10 crore, a 42-meter hydraulic platform/turntable aerial for Rs 7.5 crore, a 32-meter hydraulic platform/turntable aerial for Rs 6.5 crore, as well as one emergency rescue tender and one hazmat van for Rs 2.5 crore each. Firefighting drones, firefighting robots, surveillance drones, water and foam tender vehicles, and personal protective equipment are among the other anticipated purchases.

The state government added 2,075 positions to the junior service cadre in order to increase firefighting capability.

Where New Fire Stations Are Located:

– Bela, Motipur, Muzaffarpur

-Mujahidpur, Kahalgaon, Shahalpur

Manjhaul, Bakhri, and Teghra in Begusarai

-Saharsa: Sonbarsa, Bakhtiyarpur Simri

Supaul: Birpur, Triveniganj, Supaul

These extensions and modernizations are part of the government’s plan to improve emergency response and fire safety throughout Bihar.
