This year’s event is expected to be historic, recognising five Indian teams that won major International Cricket Council tournaments within a single calendar year.

The BCCI Naman Awards 2026 will bring together players, coaches, administrators and legendary cricketers for a night dedicated to honouring India’s dominance across men’s, women’s and junior cricket.

In the women’s category, Smriti Mandhana is considered the frontrunner for Best Women’s International Cricketer following her exceptional performances in the 2025 Women’s World Cup.

Cricket Legends and Special Guests

The BCCI Naman Awards 2026 ceremony is expected to be attended by some of the biggest names in Indian cricket. Legendary players such as Sachin Tendulkar, Sunil Gavaskar and Kapil Dev are likely to be present at the event.

Top BCCI officials including President Roger Binny will also attend the ceremony. Coaches such as Gautam Gambhir and Amol Muzumdar are expected to be felicitated along with their respective teams.

Strategic Venue Choice

The decision to hold the BCCI Naman Awards 2026 near the Delhi airport is largely strategic. Many players from the senior men’s team are scheduled to join their respective squads for the upcoming Indian Premier League 2026 pre-season camps starting on March 28. The airport-side venue will allow players to travel easily after attending the awards ceremony.

With multiple ICC titles secured in recent months, the BCCI Naman Awards 2026 promises to be a grand celebration of Indian cricket’s success on the global stage.
