President Droupadi Murmu honors Sree Sree Sivakumara Mahaswamiji’s legacy of spirituality, education, and social service at Sree Siddaganga Math, Tumakuru.

Tumakuru, Karnataka : The President of India, Smt Droupadi Murmu, graced the 119th birthday celebrations and Guruvandana Mahotsava of Sree Sree Sivakumara Mahaswamiji at Sree Siddaganga Math in Tumakuru today.

Speaking at the occasion, the President highlighted that saints like Sree Sree Sivakumara Mahaswamiji embody the soul of society and the nation. Though Swamiji physically merged with the Supreme Essence in 2019, his spiritual legacy continues to inspire and nurture communities across the country. President Murmu lauded the Mahaswamiji’s dedication to the welfare of the poor and underprivileged, calling his life a shining example of expressing spirituality through service.

The President appreciated Sree Siddaganga Math for carrying forward Sree Sree Sivakumara Mahaswamiji’s legacy, noting that the institution provides education from primary schools to higher studies in engineering and management. She also praised the Sree Siddha-Ganga Hospital, established under Swamiji’s guidance, for delivering quality healthcare services to the public.

President Murmu Highlights Sree  Sree Siddaganga Math’s Role in Education and Spiritual Service

President Murmu emphasized that the Math continues a centuries-old tradition of service and spirituality while adapting to modern times. She underscored the importance of education, stating, “Knowledge and education are the foundation for personality development and self-reliance. By imparting education to underprivileged students from rural and marginalized communities, the Math contributes immensely to an inclusive society.”

Highlighting the link between spirituality, public service, and nation-building, President Murmu remarked that Karnataka serves as a model for combining spirituality, social service, and progress. She commended the state’s residents for their consistent contributions to national development and expressed confidence that Karnataka will remain a leading hub for nation-building efforts.
