The latest Delhi Weather Update indicates that the national capital will continue to experience cloudy skies, rain, and thunderstorms over the next few days. According to the India Meteorological Department, two active western disturbances are currently influencing weather patterns across northwest India, leading to widespread rainfall activity.

The weather office has forecast that these conditions will persist until April 6, bringing intermittent showers and unstable weather to Delhi and surrounding regions.

Rain and Thunderstorms to Continue in Delhi

As per the Delhi Weather Update, residents can expect very light to light rainfall accompanied by thunderstorms and lightning over the next few days. Similar weather conditions are likely to reappear around April 3 and 4, keeping the skies over Delhi mostly cloudy.

Over the past 24 hours, Delhi recorded a slight drop in maximum temperatures by 1 to 2 degrees Celsius, while minimum temperatures remained largely stable. Despite the ongoing rain, no extreme weather conditions have been predicted.

Gradual Rise in Temperature Expected

The Delhi Weather Update also highlights that temperatures in the national capital are expected to rise gradually by 3 to 4 degrees Celsius over the next three days. This combination of rising temperatures and intermittent rainfall will result in fluctuating weather conditions.

The India Meteorological Department has noted that this pattern of brief cooling followed by warming will keep Delhi’s weather dynamic throughout the week.

Rainfall Activity Across North India

Beyond the capital, the Delhi Weather Update points to widespread rainfall across north India. States including Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, west Uttar Pradesh, and west Rajasthan are expected to witness scattered rainfall along with gusty winds reaching speeds of 30 to 50 kmph.

The weather system is likely to intensify later this week due to another western disturbance. Regions such as Jammu and Kashmir, Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh, and Uttarakhand may experience rainfall, thunderstorms, and strong winds between April 3 and 6.

Eastern and Central India Also Affected

The impact of these weather systems is not limited to the north. According to the Delhi Weather Update, eastern states like West Bengal and Sikkim are expected to receive light to moderate rainfall with thunderstorms until April 2.

Additionally, central India may witness intense thunderstorm and lightning activity until April 6, with isolated hailstorm events predicted in some areas.

Variable Weather Conditions Ahead

The Delhi Weather Update suggests that while no severe weather alerts have been issued, the combination of rain, thunderstorms, and rising temperatures will lead to changing weather conditions in the coming days.

Residents are advised to stay updated with forecasts and take necessary precautions during thunderstorms and gusty winds as the week progresses.
