Coimbatore: Prime Minister Narendra Modi ( PM Modi )  on Monday interacted with students as part of his annual initiative ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’, sharing guidance on balancing academics with personal passions and even giving tips on launching startups.

During the session, organized by the Ministry of Education, PM Modi encouraged students to approach exam preparation positively and emphasized that learning can coexist with pursuing interests outside the classroom.

When a student from Coimbatore, Chavi Jain, asked how she could prepare to start her own business while studying, the Prime Minister advised focusing on one’s interests and collaborating with peers who have complementary skills. He said, “Being young is not a barrier to starting a venture. Even small startups can begin early. If you are interested, you should pursue it.”

He further suggested connecting with existing startups to gain practical knowledge. “You can approach people running startups, explain your school project, and learn from them. They will guide you, and this experience will help you move forward,” PM Modi added.

Another student asked how to balance studies with hobbies such as art, craft, or design. The Prime Minister explained that academics and personal passions are interconnected. He advised integrating hobbies into learning, for instance, by drawing diagrams for science experiments or using art to visualize concepts. “Art can also help relieve stress and fatigue during exams,” he said.

The ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ initiative aims to make exams a positive learning experience, and PM Modi highlighted that interactions with students are mutually enriching, as he often learns from them as well.
