Operation Pimple: Indian Army Kills Two Terrorists in Kupwara’s Keran Sector

Indian Army kills two terrorists in Kupwara’s Keran sector during Operation Pimple after foiling an infiltration attempt along the Line of Control.

According to the most recent information on the Indian Army ‘s Operation Pimple, security personnel in the Keran area of the Kupwara district in Jammu and Kashmir have killed two terrorists. The Army Chinar Corps provided updates on the current action.

“The security forces have neutralized two terrorists in the ongoing operation,” Chinar Corps wrote in a post on X. The region is being searched.

Following the receipt of intelligence input from agencies regarding an attempted infiltration, the Army made this statement. On November 7, a coordinated operation was initiated in Kupwara’s Keran area based on the indications that were available. The precise location associated with suspicious behavior was located and “contact established” during the well-coordinated search operation. The Indian Army claims that the infiltration attempt occurred in the Keran sector of Kupwara, Jammu and Kashmir, along the Line of Control (LoC).

Following a conflict sparked by the army’s suspicion of suspicious activity in Kupwara, the militants opened fire on the soldiers. Two terrorists were killed in the gunfight.

Chinar Corps had posted on X that “on 07 Nov 2025, a joint operation was launched in the Keran sector of Kupwara, based on specific intelligence input from agencies, regarding an infiltration attempt.” Terrorists opened fire indiscriminately when alert troops observed unusual activity and challenged it. Terrorists are apprehended and contact is established. Op goes on.

This most recent operation follows months after India launched its historic anti-terrorism initiative, Operation Sindoor, on May 7, 2025, in response to the Pahalgam terror incident. The horrific terrorist attack claimed the lives of up to 26 bystanders.

J&K Police search jails throughout the Valley.

In a separate event, Jammu and Kashmir Police’s Counter Intelligence Kashmir (CIK) searched many jails throughout the Valley on Saturday.

“The CIK is conducting searches in a number of Kashmiri jails. If anything unlawful is found during searches, legal action would be taken,” the officials were cited by PTI as saying.

According to a PTI report, as part of a significant crackdown on anti-national activities, Ganderbal Police carried out massive search operations at 59 locations throughout the district, focusing on people connected to Pakistani terrorist organizations. In concert with other security agencies, police teams tried to bolster local monitoring with the goal of dismantling subversive networks.
