Woman slapped during Delivery, Newborn dies after horrific treatment
Maharashtra, July 31:
A Woman was slapped by hospital staff while in labour pain at a government hospital in Maharashtra. The Family claims she was left unattended for hours, and irregular care led to the tragic death of her Newborn shortly after delivery.
According to her relatives, despite severe pain, the woman received delayed medical attention. Hospital Authorities allegedly forced her to undergo a vaginal exam without anestesia. During the process, she claimed a staff member slapped her because she was in intense pain and vulnerability
After finally delivering the baby, medical staff pronounced that the Newborn was dead at Birth. The family suspects negligence and is demanding a formal enquiry and accountability for the mistreatment.
