KCET Rank Calculation Process Explained
KEA will prepare the final merit list based on both KCET and qualifying examination performance. According to the official criteria, 50 percent weightage will be given to marks obtained in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics in KCET, while the remaining 50 percent weightage will come from Class 12 board examination marks.
This combined evaluation process plays a crucial role in determining the final KCET result 2026 rank list for engineering and other professional course admissions.
What Happens After KCET Result 2026?
After the declaration of results, KEA will begin the counselling and admission process. Qualified candidates will have to participate in document verification and option entry rounds where they can choose preferred colleges and courses.
The Karnataka Higher Education Minister had earlier stated that the counselling process for KCET would proceed independently despite delays in NEET-related admissions.
Students are advised to regularly visit the official KEA website for the latest updates related to counselling schedules, document verification and seat allotment procedures after the release of the KCET result 2026.
