Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh: On Sunday afternoon, a Lamborghini Revuelto lost control near Rev-3 Mall in the upscale Gwaltoli area of Kanpur, injuring at least six people and damaging multiple vehicles. The accident occurred around 3:15 pm, according to police reports.
Accident Details
Police have identified the driver as Shivam Mishra, son of tobacco businessman KK Mishra. The luxury car, valued at nearly Rs 10 crore, first struck an auto-rickshaw, then a parked Royal Enfield motorcycle, throwing the rider several feet. The Lamborghini eventually collided with an electric pole before coming to a halt.
Eyewitnesses claimed the car was moving at high speed, and some suggested the driver might have been intoxicated, though officials are yet to confirm. Mishra allegedly attempted to flee the scene, while his associates reportedly tried to shield him. Locals intervened, smashing the car’s windows and restraining him until police arrived.

Victims and Hospitalization
Among the injured, Taufiq Ahmed suffered severe leg injuries. All victims and Shivam Mishra were shifted to a private hospital. The Lamborghini has been seized by police, and an FIR is being registered.

Shivam Mishra’s Controversial Past
Shivam Mishra first came into the public eye in 2024 when the Income Tax Department conducted multi-state raids on Banshidhar Tobacco Private Limited, his father’s company. Searches spanned Kanpur, Delhi, Mumbai, and Gujarat, targeting alleged tax evasion and GST violations. Officials suspected undeclared income, offshore accounts, and ledger manipulations.
At his Delhi residence, investigators seized a fleet of luxury cars, including the Lamborghini involved in the crash, a Rolls-Royce Phantom, a McLaren, and a Porsche, collectively valued around Rs 50 crore. Cash and jewellery worth several crores were also recovered, including a diamond-studded watch worth approximately Rs 2.5 crore.
Banshidhar Tobacco Private Limited had declared an annual income of Rs 20–25 crore, while officials estimated its actual turnover at Rs 100–150 crore, raising suspicions of tax evasion and GST violations.
Current Status
The Lamborghini is in police custody, and investigations into the accident and Shivam Mishra’s conduct are ongoing. Police are also looking into eyewitness claims regarding reckless driving and potential intoxication.
