Greater Noida: The Census 2027 preparations have gained momentum in Gautam Budh Nagar, with district authorities accelerating groundwork to ensure timely completion of the nationwide enumeration exercise. Officials have been directed to fast-track key processes such as house listing, manpower deployment, and staff training.
House Listing Work Prioritised
A major component of the Census 2027 preparations is the creation of house listing blocks, which will define how areas are divided for enumeration. Authorities are focusing on urban hubs like Noida and Greater Noida, where rapid population growth and expansion pose logistical challenges.
District Magistrate and Principal Census Officer Medha Roopam stated that officials have been instructed to complete house listing within the set timeline to avoid delays in subsequent phases.
Deployment of Field Staff
As part of the Census 2027 preparations, the administration has started identifying enumerators and supervisors from departments such as education and panchayati raj. Departments have been asked to submit lists of eligible personnel promptly to ensure smooth appointments.
