Mumbai Crime: Brother unknowingly helped tile floor over murdered sibling
In Nalasopara, a chilling murder has come to light. Vijay Chauhan (34) was reportedly killed by his wife, Gudiya Devi and her lover, Monu Vishwakarma around July 5-6.
They dug a pit inside the house, buried Vijay under the floor and then deceitfully called Vijay’s elder brother, Ajay to help install new tiles, claiming it was for plumbing work.

Ajay later confessed upon learning the awful truth.
When Vijay stopped responding for over 2 weeks, his family grew suspicious. A foul smell and fresh tiles in the house raised alarms- leading them to discover his decomposed body beneath the floor. On July 21, forensic experts confirmed it was Vijay.
Following this, Gudiya and Monu were arrested in Pune, facing charges of murder, evidence tampering and conspiracy. Police are also probing financial angles, including unauthorized withdrawals from Vijay’s account using stolen OTP’S.
