In a chilling incident from Palamu district in Jharkhand, a 16-year-old girl has been arrested for allegedly murdering her newlywed husband with the help of her boyfriend, according to police reports
According to authorities, the teen lured her husband Sarfaraz Khan into the Piparhwa forest on July 31, under the pretext of a walk. Once he was there, she told her she wants to marry her boyfriend, and then he was brutally beaten and was crushed to death with stones. His body was then covered with leaves, where it remained hidden until discovered by villagers.
During the investigation, the teen admitted that she carried out the crime because she wanted to marry her husband. Police launched a manhunt to find her husband and other people accused in this crime who helped in murder. She has been sent to a remand home, and investigators are exploring additional charges.
Superintendent of Police Reeshma Ramesan confirmed that the girl was arrested soon after the body of her husband was recovered.
