Amita Muchhal, Palash’s mother, told Hindustan Times that the news of Smriti’s father’s illness had a profound impact on him.

Later, Sarvhit Hospital’s Dr. Naman Shah informed ANI that the crisis was probably brought on by “physical or mental stress” associated with the wedding rumors.
