Producer Namit Malhotra has officially revealed that Ramayana, featuring Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravana, will cost a staggering ₹4,000 crore (around $500 million) for the combined two-part saga—making it the most expensive film in Indian cinema history

By budget, the film dwarfs recent American blockbusters: studio budgets for the new Superman reboot were approximately $225 million, and Jurassic World: Rebirth came in at around $180 million
