Ramayana First Look Teaser Released:

The much-anticipated first look of Ramayana, starring Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi, and Yash, has finally been unveiled. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the teaser runs for three minutes and is packed with striking visual effects. However, it’s only in the final moments that viewers get a powerful glimpse of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Yash as Ravan. Adding to the grandeur, the teaser features an epic musical score composed by Hans Zimmer and AR Rahman.

As the Ramayana teaser unfolds, its presentation might remind viewers of the stylized opening credits seen in shows like Game of Thrones, with names appearing in a dramatic, cinematic format. Interestingly, the teaser doesn’t reveal any actual scenes from the film. It begins with a depiction of the three principal deities of Hinduism — Brahma, Vishnu, and Shiva — highlighting their significance in mythology. The narrative then shifts to set the stage for the epic clash between Ram and Ravan, describing it as the ultimate battle — “the war to end all wars.”

Cast of Ramayana
Ranbir Kapoor takes on the role of Lord Ram in his first mythological character portrayal. His on-set images with co-star Sai Pallavi sparked excitement months ago. Previously, Prabhas played Ram in Adipurush, but the film failed to resonate with audiences.

Sai Pallavi, a celebrated actor from the South, plays Sita. While she has starred in Aamir Khan’s Ek Din, Ramayana could mark a breakthrough for her in the Hindi belt.

Yash, famed for KGF, plays the complex role of Ravan and also co-produces the film. Calling Ravan “the most exciting character” in the epic, Yash expressed his enthusiasm for exploring its many shades.

The ensemble also features Sunny Deol as Hanuman, Ravie Dubey as Lakshman, with Rakul Preet Singh, Vivek Oberoi, and Arun Govil in key roles.

Budget of Ramayana

According to Bollywood Hungama, Ramayana is being produced on a massive budget of ₹835 crore, making it the most expensive Indian film ever made. It surpasses the budgets of Kalki 2898 AD (₹600 crore) and Adipurush (₹500 crore), both of which also featured mythological or futuristic themes.

Release Date
Ramayana is planned as a two-part saga. The first installment is expected to hit theatres during Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.

With a stellar cast, visionary direction, and an epic scale like never before, Ramayana promises to be a landmark moment in Indian cinema—one that blends mythology, emotion, and spectacle into a timeless tale for a new generation.
