Priyanka Chopra shares dance videos, heartfelt moments with Mahesh Babu’s family & teases the epic Varanasi movie releasing Jan 2027.

Priyanka Chopra recently spoke passionately about collaborating with Mahesh Babu on their future movie at the Varanasi Globe Trotter event in Hyderabad. She also thanked Mahesh, his wife Namrata Shirodkar, and their daughter Sitara for making her feel comfortable and at home.

Sitara posted the most recent image to her Instagram Stories as a birthday greeting for SS Karthikeya. In the caption, she wrote, “Happy birthday, Karth Anna.” After reposting the image, Karthikeya responded with a heart emoji and the simple words “Thank you.”

The Globe Trotter event featured the release of the Varanasi teaser. The film, which is directed by SS Rajamouli and is scheduled for release in January 2027, promises to be a visually stunning, mythological action-adventure that travels through time.

An asteroid smashes into Earth in the opening scene of the trailer, sending pieces flying across Varanasi, Antarctica, Africa, and other places. The story spans several centuries and suggests a close relationship to the Ramayana.

With historic temples in the backdrop, the teaser concludes with a striking image of Mahesh Babu, bleeding, riding a bull, and clutching a trishul. Priyanka plays Mandakini, and Mahesh plays Rudhra. Kumbha, the antagonist, is portrayed by Prithviraj Sukumaran.
