Kimi Katkar, famed as the ‘Tarzan Girl’ and star of 1980s-90s Bollywood, now leads a quiet life in Goa after an iconic film career.

Actress Kimi Katka, renowned for her boldness and attractiveness during the 1980s and 1990s, will be remembered for her impactful presence on the screen. She was referred to as the ‘Tarzan Girl’ by Hindi cinema. In Amitabh Bachchan’s film ‘Hum’, he performed the song ‘Jumma‘, subsequently becoming popularly known by that name.

Even after achieving recognition and renown in Hindi cinema, the actress is currently leading an unassuming life in Goa. Kim Katkar was one of the most prominent actresses of her era, having collaborated with nearly every leading actor of that period. He collaborated on the screen with prominent actors such as Shatrughan Sinha, Govinda, Rajinikanth, Chunky Pandey, Jitendra, Dharmendra, and Anil Kapoor. Km Katkar was born on December 11, 1965.

‘Adventures of Tarzan’ achieved rapid and widespread popularity.

He began his career in the film industry at the age of 20. The actress commenced her career in 1985 with the film ‘Pathar Dil’. The film was successful; however, owing to his supporting role, he was unable to receive proper recognition. The film ‘Adventures of Tarzan’, released this year, catapulted the actress to sudden fame.

In the film, Kimi delivered daring performances and did not hesitate to wear a bikini. Her film ‘Adventures of Tarzan’ was unsuccessful; however, the film earned the designation of ‘Indian Tarzan Girl’. Even after the failure, the actress’s consecutive films remained secure in the pipeline. She gained recognition as the most prolific actress of the 1980s and 1990s.

For him, the years 1988 to 1990 were exceptional, as he participated in more than 35 films during this three-year period. Furthermore, in 1989, he participated in 15 films, with nearly all of them performing successfully at the box office. Discussing his notable films, including ‘Mera Looh’ (1987), ‘Muljim’, ‘Rama O Rama’, ‘Dharm Yuda’, ‘Tohfa Mohabbat Ka’, ‘Sone Par Suhaga’ (1989), and ‘Where Hai Law’, among others.

Kimi Katkar achieved widespread recognition through the film ‘Hum’. However, following several unsuccessful films, the actress’s most recent appearance was in the film ‘Hamla’ in 1992, after which she married photographer and advertising producer Shantanu Shourie.
