Diljit Dosanjh Shuts Down Exit Rumours from No Entry 2 with Light-Hearted Instagram Post

Actor-singer Diljit Dosanjh has finally broken his silence in the most subtle way about the rumours of his alleged exit from the much-awaited comedy sequel No Entry 2. After months of speculation suggesting creative differences between him and the film’s team, a recent video shared by the star on Instagram seems to have put the chatter to rest.

In the video, Diljit can be seen enjoying a lively chat and sharing a laugh with director Anees Bazmee. With producer Boney Kapoor also present, the Amar Singh Chamkila star is heard saying, “Bazmee saab story suna rahe hai… mere favourite director hai… idhar Boney Kapoor ji kehte hai ishq di gali vich no entry,” playfully referencing the film’s title. The post, though humorous, appears to signal that Diljit is still very much a part of the project.

Earlier in May, reports surfaced claiming that Diljit had walked out of the film due to creative disagreements. A source quoted by Filmfare had said, “Diljit was excited to team up with Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor, but he couldn’t connect with the creative direction the film was taking, which led to his decision to opt out.” However, producer Boney Kapoor had quickly debunked these claims, clarifying that scheduling issues—not creative conflicts—were the reason behind the temporary delay. “Yes, there are date issues, but certainly no creative differences. That is absolutely false. We are trying our best to work the dates out,” he had stated.

Director Anees Bazmee also shared optimism, saying he hoped everything would fall into place soon.

No Entry 2 is generating a lot of buzz, especially since it will feature a fresh new cast. The original trio of Salman Khan, Anil Kapoor, and Fardeen Khan will not return. Instead, Varun Dhawan, Arjun Kapoor, and Diljit Dosanjh have been cast in lead roles, with Tamannaah Bhatia also reported to be on board. Fans are eagerly awaiting more updates on the film, which promises to bring back the charm and chaos of the original in a contemporary setting.

Meanwhile, Diljit is riding high on the success of Sardaar Ji 3, which, despite not releasing in India, has turned out to be a blockbuster overseas, raking in ₹42.60 crore globally and becoming the highest-grossing Punjabi film of the year so far.

He is currently shooting for Border 2, a patriotic action drama starring Sunny Deol, Varun Dhawan, and Ahan Shetty. The film is set for a grand theatrical release on January 23, 2026.
