Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle has broken all previous records. The 12th of September is the scheduled release date of the animated japanese film.

In India, fans are more pumped than ever before for the upcoming Japanese animated dark fantasy action flick Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle. Coming this Friday (September 12) to theaters in India is the film adaptation of Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba, Koyoharu Gotouge’s 2016–20 manga series. Based on the impressive trend of advance booking sales, the picture is poised to have one of the largest opening weekends for a non-Indian film in India this year.

According to PVR Cinemas, who provided advance booking for Demon Slayer: Infinity Castle, the film’s anticipation has already caused a fire to break out at the box office, even before its debut. Three and a half lakh tickets have already been sold through the website.

It was also announced by Taran Adarsh via Twitter that the film will have many 5 AM showings. Several shows have already sold out, and #DemonSlayerInfinityCastle is making history by releasing at 5 a.m. in India, a first for an anime film, he wrote. The unprecedented demand for the film has led to the addition of more midnight screenings in Mumbai.

Demon Slayer advance booking has surpassed ₹10 crore.

Meanwhile, according to the most recent Sacnilk update, the first day alone saw ticket sales for Demon Slayer Infinity Castle exceeding ₹10 crores total. The film’s gross total is rapidly approaching 15 crores. Book My Show, the film’s ticketing platform, has reportedly already sold over 500,000 seats.

The film will have the widest release of any anime film in India, playing in over seven hundred and fifty theaters across the country, thanks to a partnership between Sony Pictures Entertainment and Crunchy Roll. Another first for the country: the anime has been localized into five languages: English, Hindi, Telugu, Tamil, and Japanese (with English subtitles).

The helmer of the picture is Haruo Sotozaki. At the same time, on Sunday in Mumbai, Bollywood stars Rashmika Mandanna and Tiger Shroff were seen at a fan screening of the Japanese anime flick.
