Tata Nexon becomes India’s best-selling car in November 2025, surpassing Maruti Dzire and boosting Tata Motors’ golden run amid SUV popularity.

With the  Tata Nexon being the best-selling vehicle in India and GST reductions further boosting sales, Tata Motors is continuing its golden run. In November, the Maruti Suzuki Dzire sold 21,082 units, while the Nexon sold an astounding 22,434 units.

With 17,344 sales, the Creta is still Hyundai’s best-selling model in India. Additionally, 19,733 Swifts and 18,753 Punches were sold.

SUV Market Share and Brand Effectiveness

Hyundai appears to be in the bottom five, followed by Tata and Mahindra. The Fronx, Wagon R, Brezza, and Ertiga are among the ten automobiles that Maruti Suzuki still has the most models of. In contrast, the Mahindra, which holds a spot in the top 10, is the Scorpio.

Car sales have surged since the GST was lowered, and the price of cars has climbed, which has further boosted sales. In India, the Nexon outsells automobiles with lower prices, demonstrating this.

Shifting Customer Preferences

The Dzire is the only sedan that has been selling well and is the second-best-selling vehicle in India, but the more recent models have also been doing well and being warmly received by the market. The growing popularity of SUVs demonstrates how Indian consumers’ choices are currently shifting.

While Tata’s Punch and Nexon are selling well despite the fact that they are both set for a change soon, Maruti has the most models under the 10 lakh mark, and nearly all of them are doing very well. For now, buyers of new cars are swarming the dealerships!
