24K & 22K gold prices today Jan 19, 2026: Gold hits record highs in Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Bengaluru; silver crosses Rs 3 lakh/kg in futures.
Precious metal prices continued their sharp rally on Monday, with gold climbing to new lifetime highs and silver crossing the Rs 3 lakh-per-kg mark in futures trade for the first time. The surge is supported by strong investor demand and positive global cues.
Gold futures also saw robust gains, with the February contract rising Rs 2,983 (2.09%) to Rs 1,45,500 per 10 grams. Over the past week, gold prices have increased by Rs 3,698 (2.7%), reflecting sustained bullish momentum in the bullion market.
The rally is not limited to domestic markets. Analysts note that silver has outpaced gold, driven by rising industrial demand and concerns over global supply constraints. Precious metals have also benefitted from heightened geopolitical risks and a weaker US dollar, which tends to boost the appeal of non-yielding assets like gold and silver.
