New Delhi: Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Wednesday praised the 12 years of Modi government, stating that India has been transformed into a strong “bastion of security” that protects its citizens and responds firmly to emerging threats.
Amit Shah Highlights National Security Achievements
Marking the completion of the 12 years of Modi government, Amit Shah said India has set global examples in strengthening national security and maintaining internal stability. In a post on X, he credited the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi for reshaping India’s security framework.
According to Shah, the 12 years of Modi government have been defined by decisive action against terrorism, cross-border threats, and internal security challenges.
Surgical Strikes, Air Strikes and Operation Sindoor Cited
Shah highlighted key military and strategic responses undertaken during the 12 years of Modi government, including surgical strikes, air strikes, and Operation Sindoor. He said these actions demonstrated India’s firm stance against cross-border terrorism and its willingness to respond decisively.

Focus on Internal Security and Northeast Peace Accords

Shah also noted progress in tackling Left-Wing Extremism, saying that efforts to eradicate Naxalism have strengthened India’s internal security environment.

According to Amit Shah, the 12 years of Modi government have enhanced India’s global reputation as a nation committed to protecting its sovereignty and security. He said India today stands as an example for the world in terms of its firm response to threats and strategic clarity.
Modi Becomes Longest-Serving Elected Prime Minister
The remarks came shortly after Prime Minister Narendra Modi completed 12 years in office at the Centre. He also became India’s longest continuously serving elected Prime Minister, surpassing Jawaharlal Nehru with 4,399 consecutive days in office.
