Industry tipsters claim the Korean tech giant has begun testing the Android 17-based software on existing Galaxy smartphones, indicating that development is already underway for devices beyond the recently launched Galaxy S26 series.

The latest leak suggests Samsung is moving ahead of its traditional software development schedule. For comparison, the first internal One UI 8 test build for the Galaxy S24 series reportedly appeared around June 19 last year. The emergence of a Samsung One UI 9 test build nearly two weeks earlier hints that the company may be aiming for a faster rollout strategy.
