Xiaomi has expanded its audio wearable lineup in China with the launch of the Xiaomi Clip earbuds. The new earbuds were introduced alongside the Xiaomi 17 Max smartphone and Xiaomi Smart Band 10 Pro. Unlike traditional in-ear audio products, the Xiaomi Clip earbuds feature an open-ear clip-on design aimed at providing a more comfortable and lightweight listening experience.

The company has equipped the earbuds with several premium features, including Bluetooth 5.4 connectivity, LHDC 5.0 codec support, AI-powered tools, and compatibility with both Android and iOS devices. One of the biggest highlights is support for Apple’s Find My app, making the Xiaomi Clip earbuds one of the few Android-focused wearables to integrate with Apple’s tracking ecosystem.

Xiaomi Clip Earbuds Audio and Calling Features

The Xiaomi Clip earbuds come with an 11mm dynamic driver featuring a microcrystalline metal-coated diaphragm. According to Xiaomi, the setup delivers audio across a wide 20Hz to 48kHz frequency response range for improved sound quality.

The earbuds also support LHDC 5.0 high-resolution audio decoding and carry Hi-Res Audio Wireless certification for compatible devices.

For calls, Xiaomi has included a triple-microphone setup along with a VPU bone-conduction microphone. The system is designed to isolate voices from surrounding noise, helping improve call clarity in crowded environments.

To improve privacy, the company has adopted a directional acoustic structure that uses reverse sound waves to minimise sound leakage during music playback and voice calls.

AI Features and Apple Ecosystem Integration

One of the standout aspects of the Xiaomi Clip earbuds is the integration of AI-powered features through the Xiaomi Earbuds app.

The earbuds support:

  • Real-time transcription
  • Live interpretation for lectures and videos
  • AI-powered call translation
  • Face-to-face conversation translation
  • AI-generated summaries
  • On-device voice recording

Users can also control voice recordings directly through the charging case.

Xiaomi has additionally introduced XiaoAI Companion Mode, allowing users to interact more naturally with the voice assistant for news, weather, and daily queries.

Despite being designed mainly for Android devices, the Xiaomi Clip earbuds also support Apple’s Find My app. This allows users to track the charging case and each earbud individually. Xiaomi has also included nearby ringtone finder functionality and long-distance positioning through HyperOS-connected devices.

Battery, Connectivity and Durability

The Xiaomi Clip earbuds support Bluetooth 5.4 and work with AAC, SBC, and LHDC 5.0 audio codecs. Dual-device connectivity is also available, allowing users to stay connected to two devices simultaneously.

Gesture controls have been added for convenience:

  • Double-tap to play or pause music
  • Triple-tap to skip tracks

Each earbud packs a 60mAh battery, while the charging case includes a 510mAh battery with USB Type-C charging support.

According to Xiaomi:

  • A 10-minute quick charge offers up to four hours of playback
  • Full battery life reaches up to nine hours in AAC playback mode
  • Total playback with the charging case extends up to 38 hours

For durability, the earbuds feature an IP57 rating for dust and water resistance. Each earbud weighs approximately 5.5g, while the charging case weighs around 41.42g.
