CM Nayab Saini Promotes Beekeeping Under Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021 in Panchkula Event

Haryana government distributes ₹1.02 crore incentive to beekeepers and urges farmers to adopt beekeeping under the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021 to strengthen rural economy.

Panchkula (Haryana):  On the occasion of World Bee Day, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini highlighted the importance of bees in agriculture and rural livelihoods while participating in a special event held on the sacred land of Maa Mansa Devi Ji in Panchkula. The state government reaffirmed its commitment to strengthening the rural economy through sustainable initiatives under the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021.

Under the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021, an incentive amount of ₹1.02 crore was distributed to 30 beekeepers from the state as part of the Bhawantar Bharpai Yojana. The Chief Minister emphasized that bees play a crucial role not only in maintaining ecological balance but also in boosting agricultural productivity and farmer income.

CM Saini Urges Farmers to Adopt Beekeeping Under Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021 to Boost Rural Economy

Reiterating the vision of the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021, CM Saini urged farmers across the state to adopt beekeeping alongside traditional farming. He noted that this low-cost, low-land requirement activity has the potential to generate employment for lakhs of people and significantly strengthen the rural economy.

The government has also ensured strong financial support under the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021, providing up to 85% subsidy on beehives, colonies, and modern equipment to encourage more farmers and youth to enter the sector.

Officials stated that the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021 has been designed to promote scientific beekeeping, increase honey production, and improve pollination benefits for crops across the state. The initiative is expected to make Haryana a leading hub for beekeeping in India.

Concluding the event, the Chief Minister reaffirmed that the state government stands firmly with beekeepers and farmers, ensuring continuous support for the growth of the sector under the Haryana Beekeeping Policy 2021.
