Punjab Police intensified the ongoing Punjab war against drugs and anti-crime campaign with large-scale raids conducted across the state. The latest operation also targeted gangsters and organised criminal networks as part of the government’s statewide law enforcement drive.
On the 115th day of the state-level campaign, police teams carried out raids at 552 locations across Punjab. During the operation, 276 individuals were arrested and 11 illegal weapons were recovered from different districts.
Officials stated that the action is part of the government’s continued efforts to strengthen law and order and dismantle criminal networks operating in the state. With the latest operation, total arrests made under the anti-crime campaign have now reached 29,385.
Punjab War Against Drugs Continues as Police Arrest 93 Drug Peddlers Across State
Meanwhile, the Punjab war against drugs also continued with intensified action against narcotics trafficking and drug peddling. On the 440th day of the anti-drug campaign, Punjab Police arrested 93 drug peddlers from different parts of the state.

With these latest arrests, the total number of drug peddlers arrested under the Punjab war against drugs has risen to 64,173. Police officials said continuous search operations, intelligence-based raids and strict monitoring are helping authorities crack down on drug networks across Punjab.
Punjab Government Intensifies War Against Drugs With Strict Action on Smugglers
The government has repeatedly stated that the Punjab war against drugs remains one of its top priorities, with strict action being taken against those involved in narcotics smuggling and illegal activities.

Officials further said that anti-gangster operations and the Punjab war against drugs are being carried out simultaneously to ensure public safety, reduce organised crime and create a safer environment across the state.
