Security was briefly tightened at the Assam swearing-in ceremony venue after a man was detained when live bullets were recovered during a security screening on Tuesday in Guwahati. The incident took place at the Veterinary College Field in Khanapara, where the oath-taking ceremony of the new state government was being held.
According to officials, the Assam swearing-in ceremony venue witnessed a security alert when routine checks at the entrance led to the recovery of live bullets from an individual. The man was immediately taken into custody for questioning and shifted to Basistha police station. However, authorities confirmed that no firearms or weapons were found in his possession.
