Punjab: The Punjab government, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, has announced a major relief package for farmers affected by recent hailstorm damage across the state. Under the Punjab Farmer Hailstorm Relief 2026, a total financial assistance of ₹123.28 crore has been approved to support thousands of affected farming families.
Cabinet Minister Baljit Kaur stated that the Mann government has shown true empathy for farmers by taking swift action to compensate losses caused by natural disasters. The Punjab Farmer Hailstorm Relief 2026 initiative aims to provide timely financial support and reduce the burden on affected cultivators.
According to official information, the relief amount will benefit 92,695 farmers across 111 villages in 7 districts of Punjab. District Deputy Commissioners have been directed to ensure immediate implementation so that the compensation under Punjab Farmer Hailstorm Relief 2026 reaches eligible farmers without delay.
