On Day 92 of the drive, Punjab Police intensified statewide operations, achieving significant breakthroughs against gangsters and drug smugglers.
Massive statewide raids under ‘Gangstran Te Vaar’
Under the Gangstran Te Vaar crackdown, Punjab Police conducted as many as 541 raids across multiple districts, leading to the arrest of 254 accused individuals involved in criminal and gang-related activities. With this latest action, the total number of arrests under the campaign has reached an alarming 23,140, reflecting the scale and seriousness of the operation.

Parallel anti-drug drive ‘Yudh Nashe Virudh’
Alongside the anti-gangster campaign, the government’s parallel initiative “Yudh Nashe Virudh” continues to target the drug menace across Punjab. In the latest action under this drive, 98 drug smugglers were arrested, and 1.1 kg of heroin was recovered from their possession.
