Under the guidance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the double-engine government in Uttar Pradesh is steadily working toward the prosperity of the “New Uttar Pradesh” through modern farming practices, farmer welfare schemes, and agricultural innovation.
In a significant event held in Lucknow, the government (CM Yogi ) distributed benefits to farmers and agricultural workers under multiple schemes. Under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana (Kharif-2025), 2.51 lakh farmers received compensation amounting to ₹285 crore for crop losses, ensuring financial security and stability for the state’s farming community.

Additionally, under the Mukhyamantri Krishak Durghatna Kalyan Yojana, 3,500 families of farmers who faced accidents were provided ₹175 crore in assistance. Life insurance benefits were also extended to disaster response volunteers, popularly known as “Aapda Mitras,” recognizing their critical role in managing natural calamities and emergencies in rural areas.

CM Yogi Adityanath highlighted that these initiatives are part of the government’s broader commitment to empowering farmers, strengthening agricultural infrastructure, and promoting sustainable farming practices. He pointed out that modern agriculture, backed by technology and financial support, is crucial to building a prosperous Uttar Pradesh.
The event also witnessed the foundation laying of several agricultural buildings and soil testing laboratories in various districts. These facilities aim to enhance farmers’ access to scientific guidance on soil health, crop selection, and effective farming methods, ensuring better yield and reduced losses. CM Yogi emphasized that these steps are designed to bring transparency, accountability, and efficiency to agricultural development across the state.
