In a major boost to social welfare measures, the Haryana Government has raised the monthly financial assistance provided under various Social Security Pension and Allowance Schemes from ₹3,000 to ₹3,200. As per a notification issued by the Department of Social Justice, Empowerment, Welfare of Scheduled Castes & Backward Classes and Antyodaya (SEWA), the revised rates will be effective from November 1, 2025, with beneficiaries receiving the enhanced payments starting February 2026.
The hike covers several prominent schemes, including the Old Age Samman Allowance, Ladli Social Security Pension, Pension for Persons with Disabilities, Pension for Dwarfs, assistance for destitute women and widows, widowers and unmarried persons (Scheme-2023), aid for individuals suffering from rare diseases, support for Stage-III and IV cancer patients, and pension benefits for eunuchs. Lakhs of beneficiaries across Haryana are expected to benefit from this decision.

Pension and Financial Assistance Increased for Children and Migrant Families in Haryana
Apart from these, the government has also revised assistance under other welfare initiatives. Financial aid for non-school-going differently abled children has been increased from ₹2,400 to ₹2,600 per month. Support for destitute children has been raised from ₹2,100 to ₹2,300 per month for one child and from ₹4,200 to ₹4,600 for two children. Assistance for Kashmiri migrant families residing in Haryana has been enhanced from ₹1,500 to ₹1,700 per person per month, while the maximum family cap has been increased from ₹7,500 to ₹8,500.

Relief for acid attack survivors has also been strengthened across disability categories. Beneficiaries with 40–50 percent disability will now receive ₹8,000 instead of ₹7,500 per month; those in the 50–60 percent category will get ₹11,200 instead of ₹10,500; and individuals with 60 percent or higher disability will receive ₹14,400, up from ₹13,500.
Overall, the decision is viewed as a significant step toward reinforcing the state’s social security system and ensuring greater financial stability and dignity for vulnerable communities.
