The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, accused the Delhi government of negligence following a series of fatal incidents, saying innocent lives are being lost due to the “careless administration” of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP).

AAP national chief Arvind Kejriwal took to X, stating that the BJP has “ruined Delhi in just one year” and questioned how many more lives would be lost before the government takes responsibility.

Saurabh Bharadwaj AAP Claims “Two Delhis” Exist, Accuses CM Gupta of Ignoring Civic Tragedies

Delhi AAP chief Saurabh Bharadwaj alleged that the capital is effectively divided into “two Delhis.” “One Delhi belongs to the people, where six people were killed within 24 hours and families are losing loved ones after falling into open drains and pits. The other Delhi belongs to Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, where she is busy attending events, cutting ribbons, and enjoying festivities. If this were her own child, would she behave this way?” he tweeted.

Bharadwaj highlighted concerns about open drains under the Delhi Government and Delhi Development Authority (DDA), which he said have caused multiple fatalities. He accused the BJP of creating a “deepening crisis” in law and civic safety and questioned how long such lapses would continue while government machinery remains inactive.

He further pointed out that unlike the past, when blame was shifted between agencies, now all major bodies—the MCD, DDA, Delhi government, LG, and the Central government—are under BJP control. “Today, if a pit exists, it’s the BJP’s responsibility. If an open drain causes a death, it’s the BJP’s responsibility. Even a child being murdered while returning from school is the BJP’s responsibility,” Bharadwaj said.

The Delhi BJP has not responded to these allegations.
