Haryana CM Nayab Singh Saini approves key infrastructure and digital projects, achieving ₹40.62 crore savings via HPPC and HPWPC meetings.

Under the direction of Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini, a major meeting of the High-Powered Purchase Committee (HPPC) and High-Powered Works Purchase Committee (HPWPC) was conducted today at Haryana Niwas. Several significant decisions pertaining to the procurement of works and services were made during the sessions, which included thorough discussions on bids pertaining to significant infrastructure and development projects of several state departments.

At the HPPC meeting, five tenders totaling an estimated Rs 133.47 crore in cost were examined. One of these projects required re-tendering. In-depth discussions were held with the bidders for the remaining tenders, which were projected to cost roughly Rs 123.13 crore. Following discussions, a final agreed-upon value of around Rs 105.04 crore was set for these works. The state government secured savings of around Rs 18.09 crore through this open and successful negotiating procedure, demonstrating sound financial management and appropriate use of public funds.

In a similar vein, 11 tenders totaling around Rs 491.53 crore were taken into consideration during the HPWPC meeting. Three of these tenders were authorized for deferral or re-tendered. In-depth discussions were held with the bidders for the remaining tenders, which were anticipated to cost roughly Rs 412.19 crore. Following discussions, the final agreed-upon value of these projects was set at roughly Rs 389.66 crore, guaranteeing savings of almost Rs 22.53 crore. Thus, both sessions resulted in savings of around Rs 40.62 crore.

The meeting was attended by Ministers Anil Vij of Energy, Mahipal Dhanda of Education, Dr. Arvind Kumar Sharma of Tourism, Ranbir Gangwa of Public Works, and Shruti Choudhry of Irrigation and Water Resources.

In order to improve the dependability and effectiveness of the state’s digital and network infrastructure, the Committee approved the proposal for the supply and installation of online UPS systems and battery banks under the buyback of outdated UPS and batteries for State, District, and Block Network Management Centers under the Haryana State Wide Area Network (HSWAN) Augmentation Project.

Additionally, the Public Health Engineering Department’s proposal to set up an annual rate contract for the supply of ISI-marked sodium hypochlorite solution—a crucial chemical used for water disinfection—was approved by the Committee.

The development and building of 220 KV, 132 KV, and 66 KV transmission lines throughout the Ambala, Hisar, Bhiwani, Faridabad, Palwal, Rewari, Rohtak, and Panchkula regions were among the other significant choices. The committee authorized the development of a new 100-bed area Hospital on the former CHC site, which would improve local residents’ access to healthcare and be a significant step for the Nuh area. The Chief Minister gave staff instructions to make sure that all authorized projects were completed within the allotted time frames, with full transparency and excellent quality.
