More than 20 lakh saplings will be planted across the state – Take responsibility from planting to protecting each sapling – Member Secretary, State Pollution Control Board.

Under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma, continuous meaningful efforts are being made to realize the concept of pollution free state and green state so that the coming generation can be given a clean and healthy environment along with a better tomorrow.

Under the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Mahabhiyan, while plantation work is being done on a large scale across the state, special initiatives have been taken for conservation and promotion under the emotional attachment with the plants planted under the ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ campaign.

 

Member Secretary of the State Pollution Control Board, Shri N Vijay said that meaningful efforts are being made through other departments and officers and employees to establish the state as an ideal state as a pollution free and green state. Under this, now more than 20 lakh saplings will be planted area wise across the state by the Board. He said that these saplings will be planted mainly in industries and their surrounding areas so that the surrounding areas can be made pollution free from pollution caused by industrial activities. This work will be done through the general public, voluntary organizations and other stakeholders. For which necessary guidelines have been issued to the concerned regional officers.

 

Take responsibility from planting to protecting each plant

 

Shri N Vijay said that plantation work is being done on a large scale across the state under the leadership of Chief Minister Shri Bhajanlal Sharma. He said that it is our primary responsibility to realize the flame that has been lit by the Chief Minister in order to realize the concept of a green state. Therefore, this work of plantation will be successful only when the responsibility of protecting and promoting the planted plants is taken as a basic duty. He said that every person in the state should take the responsibility of taking care of the plants in their daily routine so that in the coming time the state will not only be established as a green state but we will also be able to realize the concept of a better tomorrow soon.

 

Tree plantation being done on a large scale by various departments and institutions will prove to be a milestone for environmental protection

 

The Member Secretary said that the plantation being done by various departments on various occasions along with the Chief Minister’s Tree Plantation Mahabhiyan, Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam and tree plantation outside the forest area will prove to be a milestone in realizing the concept of Green State. He said that now the common people have also got inspiration from the tree plantation programs and mostly it is seen that tree plantation work is being done on the occasion of social and auspicious functions. He said that the way public participation is being seen on a large scale in the work of plantation and tree conservation in the state, it seems that soon the tree cover of the state will increase.

 

It is noteworthy that the officers and employees of the Board are not only doing the work of plantation with the aim of keeping their homes, colonies and offices green, but the work of making the general public aware is also being done on priority.
