CM Dr. Mohan Yadav approves changes in MP Shops & Establishments Act to foster trust and ease compliance for small businesses.

The Madhya Pradesh government’s Labour Department has made a significant revision to the Madhya Pradesh Shops and Establishments Act, 1958, in accordance with Dr. Mohan Yadav instructions. The purpose of the amendment is to facilitate commercial dealings in the state and lessen the needless cost of compliance on retailers and establishment owners.

According to the revised regulations, labor inspections in stores and businesses with fewer than 20 employees can only be carried out with the state government’s prior consent. This action will successfully reduce pointless inspections.

According to Shri Basant Kurre, Additional Secretary of the Labour Department, this ruling will significantly relieve small business owners and entrepreneurs of needless harassment. Additionally, it will promote a self-compliance culture among traders and contribute to the development of a more favorable business environment and job creation environment. Time, money, and resource savings are anticipated as a result of the reform.

Under the direction of Chief Minister Dr. Yadav, the state government is treating small business owners and shopkeepers with tact and trust. All business owners, trade associations, and entrepreneurs have been urged by the Labour Department to voluntarily abide by labor regulations and use this beneficial change to grow and fortify their enterprises.
