Punjab cyclist Gurpreet Singh Kamon completes 1.5 lakh km, earns Asia & India Book of Records recognition, and inspires youth for a healthy lifestyle.
Gurpreet Singh Kamon, a member of the esteemed Kotkapura Cycle Riders (Regd.) Club of the Malwa region, was recognized by Punjab Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kultar Singh Sandhwan for cycling one and a half lakh kilometers. The whole region is proud of him, the speaker remarked. For the past five to six years, Gurpreet Singh Kamon has continued to be involved in the bicycling industry. His 100-kilometer-per-day cycling record for 100 days is documented in both the India Book of Records and the Asia Book.
The speaker emphasized that Gurpreet Singh Kamon had won awards for the Faridkot district and competed in over forty cycling championships. In addition, he has received the Star Independent Award and the Super Randonneur designation. He also received the USIS Company’s Bharatiya Ratna Award.
In order to live a healthy life, Kultar Singh Sandhwan urged people to regularly exercise, stroll, and ride their bicycles.Children and young people find inspiration in these cyclists’ accomplishments, which show that no matter your age, if you have a strong will to succeed or reach your goals, no destination is far away.
