Indian Army receives three Apache AH-64E helicopters from the US, strengthening combat readiness along India’s western border.
The United States has provided the Indian Army with three more Apache AH-64E assault helicopters, substantially enhancing its offensive capabilities. the helicopters landed on a heavy-lift Antonov AN-124 transport plane at Hindon Airbase in Ghaziabad. The whole fleet of six Apache helicopters authorized for the Indian Army is now on the ground in the nation thanks to this delivery.
After completing the necessary assembly, joint inspections, and other technical and administrative procedures, the three Apache helicopters will be assigned to the 451 Army Aviation Squadron located in Jodhpur, Rajasthan, according to Army officials. Already, this squadron is strategically significant along the western border.
One of the most sophisticated and deadly attack helicopters in the world is the Apache AH-64E. These helicopters can function efficiently day or night and in any weather thanks to their advanced sensors, long-range radar, Hellfire missiles, and 30 mm chain cannon. It is anticipated that their placement in strategic locations along the western frontier will greatly improve the Indian Army’s capacity for swift action and strikes.
The Apache helicopters have been completed with a unique sand-colored desert camouflage scheme in consideration of Rajasthan’s desert landscape. This gives them a tactical edge during operational missions by allowing them to blend in with the desert landscape and evade hostile forces’ detection.
