CM Nayab Singh Saini releases ₹1,700 crore for major urban upgrades across Haryana, including HSVP, GMDA and FMDA.

The Haryana Government, Nayab Singh Saini has allocated Rs 1,700 crore to the HSVP and several Metropolitan Development Authorities to enhance urban development and expedite infrastructure enhancements in the state’s principal urban regions.

Addressing a press conference here, Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini stated that the Haryana Government is dedicated to delivering world-class urban infrastructure to its citizens, with urban development remaining a top priority. Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shyam Singh Rana was also in attendance on this occasion.

The Chief Minister announced in the Budget Speech for the fiscal year 2025-26 that an allocation of Rs 3,000 crore from the EDC Fund has been designated for the HSVP and the Metropolitan Development Authorities of Gurugram, Faridabad, Sonipat, Panchkula, and Hisar to support external development projects. He stated that the Town and Country Planning Department has achieved substantial progress in the efficient utilization of this fund.

Nayab Singh Saini announced that Rs 1,500 crore has been disbursed to various Metropolitan Development Authorities from the EDC Fund during the current fiscal year. Furthermore, a total of Rs 1,700 crore has been disbursed today for development projects across various urban estates, including Rs 700 crore allocated to HSVP, Rs 700 crore to the Gurugram Metropolitan Development Authority, Rs 170 crore to the Faridabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Rs 30 crore to the Panchkula Metropolitan Development Authority, Rs 80 crore to the Sonipat Metropolitan Development Authority, and Rs 20 crore to the Hisar Metropolitan Development Authority.

Referring to the accomplishments of the financial year 2024-25, the Chief Minister stated that the department had disbursed Rs 2,188 crore to the state’s Metropolitan Development Authorities for development projects across various urban estates.
