Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi pays homage to Dr. B.R. Ambedkar, highlighting his role in social justice, equality, and constitutional empowerment.

Haryana Chief Secretary Sh. Anurag Rastogi offered floral tributes to Baba Saheb Dr. B.R. Ambedkar on his Mahaparinirvan Diwas during a ceremony held at the Haryana Civil Secretariat.

Remembering Dr. Ambedkar as the principal architect of the Indian Constitution and a pioneering social reformer, Mr. Anurag Rastogi stated that Baba Saheb devoted his life to ensuring justice, equality, and dignity for the marginalized communities. He stated that the ideals and principles of Dr. Ambedkar remain a guiding influence on India’s democratic and administrative frameworks.

The Chief Secretary emphasized that the constitutional provision of reservation for Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes is a crucial mechanism for social empowerment, ensuring that the most marginalized segments of society have the opportunity to compete on an equal basis and achieve progress in life.

Engaging with members of the SC/BC Employee Welfare Federation of the Haryana Civil Secretariat, Sh. Anurag Rastogi assured them that all their demands would be thoroughly reviewed, reaffirming the government’s dedication to inclusive governance and social justice. He instructed all government departments to rigorously adhere to the roster system to guarantee equitable representation for reserved categories as mandated by the government, and issued directives to ensure its transparent and effective implementation.

Sharing his personal journey, the Chief Secretary reflected on his education in a government institution and his ascent to the civil services through dedication, discipline, and perseverance. He stated that the opportunities afforded by the Constitution, combined with dedication and integrity, empower individuals from all backgrounds to attain success.
