AAP highlights Punjab’s development, drug-free villages, free electricity, rural roads, and youth sports ahead of local elections.

Regarding the forthcoming Block Samiti and Zila Parishad elections, Aam Aadmi Party’s chief spokesperson and MLA Kuldeep Singh Dhaliwal stated that under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, the Punjab government has undertaken unprecedented development initiatives over the past four years. The positive effects of these efforts are now evident in these local elections.

During a press conference, Dhaliwal stated that the ‘War Against Drugs’ campaign initiated in March has resulted in an unprecedented metamorphosis across villages in Punjab. The campaign has demonstrated results in approximately 6,000 villages, with over 50% of them having already been declared free of drugs. Approximately 1,000 villages have been entirely liberated from narcotic influence. He stated that this is an ongoing struggle, but the Mann government has achieved significant progress in drug control.

He stated that to combat drug issues and steer youth toward a positive path, the Mann government has commenced the development of 3,100 grounds in villages throughout the state. In each constituency, between 30 and 35 sports facilities are being constructed to promote youth engagement in sports.

Dhaliwal stated that the AAP government offers 300 units of complimentary electricity each month. Currently, 90% of households in Punjab have no utility bills, resulting in a monthly savings of ₹5,600 per household. This facility is being made available to all individuals without any form of discrimination.

Highlighting rural development, Dhaliwal stated that the Mann government’s construction of 44,000 km of link roads is revitalizing the vital connections of villages. This has resulted in significant enhancements in rural transportation and everyday living. Mohalla Clinics have also demonstrated themselves to be a valuable resource for the public, offering free medical care and medications. Regarding the matter of canal water, Dhaliwal stated that the Mann administration has supplied water to regions of Punjab that had been arid for 25 years, resulting in an enhancement of the groundwater levels.

Dhaliwal stated that the AAP is contending the elections with a focus on development, and on the 14th, the electorate will vote overwhelmingly in favor of progress, securing a decisive victory for the AAP.
