Smriti Mandhana-Palash Muchhal wedding canceled; composer deletes proposal videos, shares heartfelt statement on relationship end.

A day following the formal announcement by music composer Palash Muchhal that his marriage to Indian cricketer Smriti Mandhana had been canceled, he discreetly deleted all of his social media posts featuring her. Among the removed segments was the extensively circulated video depicting his stadium proposal, which had gained viral popularity shortly after India secured the Women’s World Cup title.

The poignant clips—one capturing Palash proposing to Smriti at Navi Mumbai’s DY Patil Stadium and another commemorating her World Cup victory—are absent from his profile. These recordings were uploaded in November, several weeks prior to the couple’s planned wedding on November 24 in Sangli, Smriti’s hometown.

Although the festivities had already commenced, the wedding took an abrupt turn on the morning of the ceremony when Smriti’s manager notified the media that the celebrations were being postponed indefinitely due to her father’s health issues. Soon thereafter, Palash and his family relocated to Mumbai, where the composer was committed to a hospital allegedly as a result of stress.

Reports of infidelity emerged shortly thereafter, suggesting that Palash was engaged in a relationship with a choreographer at the wedding. Nevertheless, both choreographers attending the event denied any association with the controversy.

On Sunday, Smriti responded to the situation via an Instagram Story, requesting privacy for both families and affirming that the wedding would no longer proceed.

Approximately concurrently, Palash issued a formal statement acknowledging that the nuptials had been called off. He stated, “I have decided to move forward in my life and withdraw from my personal relationship.”

Regarding the speculation surrounding the separation, he stated, “It has been extremely challenging for me to witness individuals so readily react to unfounded rumors concerning something that has been most sacred to me…” I sincerely hope that as a society, we learn to refrain from passing judgment on individuals based on unverified hearsay.

Although the wedding has been canceled, the incident continues to generate discussion online, particularly after Palash’s vanishing posts indicated a definitive end to the relationship.
