MRSAFPI Mohali achieves record NDA cadet strength with 50 cadets training. Aman Arora hails institute’s achievements; 16th course admissions now open.

The National Defence Academy (NDA) is now training 50 cadets, marking a new milestone for the Maharaja Ranjit Singh Armed Forces Preparatory Institute (MRSAFPI), SAS Nagar (Mohali). This is the Institute’s greatest strength in NDA since its founding. The next generation of Indian Armed Forces leaders is being shaped by three notable graduates who are currently NDA Instructors.

The illustrious Rashtriya Indian Military College (RIMC) has a much stronger under-training NDA cadet force than MRSAFPI Mohali, which is an impressive accomplishment for the Institute. Aman Arora, Punjab’s Minister of Employment Generation, Skill Development, and Training, praised MRSAFPI’s training personnel for their outstanding work and urged them to continue.

 Aman Arora highlighted the Institute’s outstanding record, noting that since its founding, 278 cadets have enrolled in Service Training Academies and 181 alumni have been commissioned as officers in the Defence Services. The Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Air Force Academy (AFA) will graduate seven cadets on December 13, 2025. This month, NDA and other training academies will welcome 15 recruits.

The 16th Course admissions are now open, according to MRSAFPI Director Major General Ajay H Chauhan, VSM (Retd). All male Punjabi class 10th students who wish to join the NDA through MRSAFPI Mohali may apply online at https://recruitment-portal.in until December 15, 2025. The entrance exam will take place on Sunday, January 4, 2026.
